I say it all the time, almost too casually,
“I’m called to high-visibility women in hiding.”
But I want to slow down and break down exactly who she is.
Because she’s not typical.
Who She Is
A walking, talking anomaly of sorts.
The kind of woman who can do 12 different things with excellence and make them all look easy.
When I come across this woman, she stops me in my tracks.
Because when I start mapping their skills, I realize it’s never random.
It’s all connected.
Every talent, every job, every “random” experience—it’s tied to assignment.
God’s hand is all over her life, even when she can’t see it.
Her Gifts Always Include Faith + Leadership
Faith: She believes for things that don’t make sense.
She’s lived a life that doesn’t add up, but somehow always works out.
Watching water turn into wine, oil overflow from empty jars, and having checks show up in the mail (as the old folks say) are normal occurrences for her because they have to be.
Leadership: She ends up leading without trying.
Even when she’s attempting to be low-key, the spotlight falls on her.
She carries a quiet mystique which makes people follow, if nothing else to quench their curiosity.
This woman may not have a title, but the room knows when she walks in. Because her presence speaks before she does.
But Her Process? Whew.
This is the part people don’t see.
Her journey is not cute.
It’s chaos.
There’s always something going on.
She minds her business, but always finds herself right in the middle of other people's stuff, whether it be to help privately, pray and then pray some more, or even defend publicly.
No job is ever normal. Like ever.
She serves as the intercessor, crisis interventionist, and resident therapist wherever she goes and finds herself carrying the weight spiritually and naturally for every environment that God places her in.
She receives favor everywhere and fights hell behind the scenes because of it.
And the real part?
She starts to question God.
Not because she doesn’t believe—but because the process is so wild. She wonders if it will ever end.
She’s Not Just a Leader—She’s a Torchbearer
She’s not climbing someone else’s ladder.
She’s building her own without instructions or another woman to follow.
That’s what these women do.
They pave the way.
They build what doesn’t exist yet.
The calling isn’t about a particular career path, it’s about the willingness to go first.
And because they break the mold, they have to learn how to survive the unexpected.
Because nothing about their lives will ever be predictable.
Two Types of High-Visibility Women in Hiding
1. Accessible but Not Visible
Her friends and family know she’s special.
They believe in her—but she’s in her own way.
She tells herself she needs more time, more money, more strategy, more healing, more degrees.
But really?
She’s scared.
She’s tired.
She’s had so many breakdowns and losses, she’s afraid to hope again.
Every time she moves one part of her life forward, something else falls apart.
So she plays it safe.
Her root issue is fear.
2. Visible but Not Accessible
She’s in position.
She’s making moves.
But you don’t really know her.
You might think she’s cold or stuck-up—but really, she’s just guarded.
Her ability to persevere, and accomplish what most people can’t hasn’t just created success but it has created a lot of criticism, rejection and betrayal especially from other women.
She’s not competing with other women BUT they are competing with her.
She limits her access to protect herself from being hurt but she then is also limiting her access to receive genuine love and support.
She has to keep letting God deal with her heart, or she’ll start becoming the kind of woman who once broke her.
Her root issue is offense.
Sheerah: The Blueprint
As I reflected on this woman, I thought about Sheerah (1 Chronicles 7:24).
I never hear her mentioned in teachings or sermons, and I love talking about women in the bible that we often don’t discuss.
Although there is only one sentence about her, what she did defied the cultural norms of her time and would still defy cultural norms today.
She was the great-granddaughter of Joseph, the granddaughter of Ephraim, and the daughter of Beriah.
And she built cities. Literal cities.
Her legacy didn’t start with her.
It was birthed through generations who survived betrayal, grief, and loss.
Let me break this down:
Sheerah turned pain into protection.
She built in hard seasons.
She thought long-term.
And she guarded what mattered.
Stop Hiding
We need women who are bold enough to say “yes” before they have all the answers.
We need women who will build, not just dream.
As a society, we’ve amplified the wrong things….
When I see and hear what many influencers and celebrities say and do, I initially think I’m hearing fake news.
But it’s not.
The foolishness is real and it’s rampant.
We’ve got women (and men) in places of great power without love or respect for the very people they are leading.
We’ve got grandmothers doing more partying than praying.
We’ve got mothers locked in competition with their daughters, and girls battling for the right to be loved, and taught properly, before they even step foot in the world.
And the wildest part?
People are cheering for all of this dysfunction.
Social Media is the proof…
Just look at what’s being reposted, liked, and celebrated as ‘viral’ every single day.
If we’re honest, the world is in disorder.
And the solution?
You.
To the High-Visibility Woman Reading This
You feel the pull.
You know there’s more and that this version of you isn’t fully it.
But you’ve been stuck in fear.
Stuck in pain.
Stuck in waiting.
Here’s the truth:
When you fully surrender, God’s sovereignty will lead you to your rightful space.
And that space?
It will shift the room.
It will clear out imposters.
It will call others higher.
Wow wow wow! 🤯🥹😩🙌🏾 I am absolutely speechless at how powerful, motivating, relatable, and right on time this message was Sis! Thank you so much for sharing this.
